These boots are rated to -10 degrees, and are an excellent cold weather boot.  Nicknamed the Mickey boot due to their color and shiny appearance.  They feature an outside layer of rubber, insulated with wool, and an internal rubber layer.  These are the BATA brand, and considered the best made of all the mickey boots issued.  They feature an air valve which should remain closed unless at high elevations.  Many hunters, fisherman and other outdoor adventures love these boots. 

The best feature is due to the rubber internal layer, if your boot was to be submerged, you only have to dump the water and replace your socks and your good to go.  Regular cold weather boots would be wet and need drying prior to keeping your feet warm again.  For a sure fire way to keep your feet warm even if your getting wet, and stay on a budget these are the boot.  These mickey boots were also termed a bunny boot among soldiers as they are also available in white.
