The (LBV) load bearing vest is originally part of the alice fighting load.  Made to hold rounds and grenades in a quick access fashion.  These vests are popular among sportsman including paintball fans, target shooting fans etc.  Great for carrying ammo, or at least looking the part.  The Load Bearing Vest is made of an 8-ounce nylon fabric and weighs 1.8 pounds when empty.  It has loops with velcro and snaps which are intended to keep the system tight to the body with the use of a belt.

These vests are in rough condition, most have holes in the compartments, and are dirty.  Some snaps are not functioning.  But for $5, they are great for outdoor activities.   We have a few thousand, and are nearly giving them away.  Great for rough use while hunting, paintball or other outdoor activities.  WIth a little cleaning and maintenance, you can get them for nearly nothing.  Truly the cheapest price online for a real Load Bearing LBV Vest.

Rough, dusty, holes, faded camo... perfect for my needs, actually! You can still carry a lot with these and not worry about what happens to them. I couldn't be happier.
